Food Services/Client Services
Edmonton’s Food Bank is a central warehouse and referral centre, which distributes food to more than 160 agencies, churches and food depots that provide food services to people in need. Food services can be in the form of food hampers, meals and/or snacks. Poverty and food security is complex; therefore, Edmonton’s Food Bank also refers people to other resources, which may assist them with their food security such as collective kitchens or food buying co-ops.

To access a hamper, referral or other food services, please call our client services line at 780.425.4190. Our phone lines for food services are open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Your patience is appreciated as phone lines can be very busy. If you require a food hamper, you will be directed/referred to the community food depot in your area. We are unable to accommodate e-mail requests/intakes.
We provide food hampers to assist in short-term, emergency situations. Edmonton’s Food Bank is not able to be an income supplement for an individual or family. If you request a food hamper from the Food Bank or one of our affiliates, you will be asked questions about your situation. At one point of the approval process, you will be requested for identification for you and your dependants.
