Edmonton’s Food Bank Harvest Luncheon
Edmonton’s Food Bank dedicates our entire year to eliminating hunger in the city. Fall is a time for harvest, and it takes Edmonton’s Food Bank back to our historical role as Gleaners. Join supporters, volunteers, and friends on November 3, 2010 for the annual Harvest Luncheon. The event will include lunch, a live auction and a “lottery”.
Cottswood Interiors ($5,000 Room Makeover)
Help feed families in your community and you could win a $5,000 Room Makeover on TBA. Enter to win a professionally designed room makeover when you visit the store and drop off a donation for the Food Bank from TBA (support for Edmonton’s Food Bank and the St. Albert Food Bank). Drop off locations include: Cottswood Interiors (10940 Mayfield Road, open 7 days a week and until 8 p.m. on Thursdays); Cottswood Warehouse (18619–111 Avenue, Mon-Fri between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.); and ALL Cottswood deliveries will also be able to donate.

5 O’Clock Fridays
Snow Valley is offering a discount to skiers during the 2009/10 season. 5 O’Clock Fridays is running every Friday between 5 and 9 p.m. Skiers can purchase a $5 day lift pass if they bring non-perishable food donations to Snow Valley. Discount rentals will also be available – $10 for skis and $17 for snowboards.
Maisie’s Magical Christmas House
Be amazed by a quarter million twinkling lights. Come see the 6th annual Christmas lights display at 9619–144 Avenue. This $100,000 display was officially inaugurated as Maisie’s Magical Christmas House in 2008. There are unique lights, music and 12 professional window scenes to amuse and delight all ages. ETS Stuff A Bus 2010
Join Fill-Up, the Food Bank mascot, as he fills a need with Stuff A Bus Food Drive. The Stuff a Bus campaign takes place from Monday, November 22 and Saturday, November 27, 2010. An ETS bus will be on site at the following
Save-On-Foods stores: Monday at Londonderry Mall, Tuesday at Mayfield, Wednesday at 3361 Calgary Trail South, Thursday at Namao and Friday at Kingsway.
If you don’t have the opportunity to visit us during the week, watch for the ETS bus at ALL Save-On-Foods stores on Saturday, November 27, 2010 for our BLITZ DAY!
JOE FM will be on site during the week at various times so stop by to say hi when dropping off your non-perishable food items!

Extra Helping
Food Banks Canada and Loblaw Companies Limited are launching Extra Helping, the 2010 Loblaw Holiday Food Drive in Edmonton on TBA. Visit any of the Edmonton Real Canadian Superstores or Real Canadian Wholesale stores between November 27 and December 17 and leave a non-perishable food donation in the marked Edmonton’s Food Bank bin.

Edmonton Examiner Auction
All auction items will be listed and displayed in editions of the Edmonton Examiner as well as an edition of the Edmonton Sun. Edmonton’s Food Bank will be taking bids over the phone from TBA 2010 at 780.425.2133 from the general public.
